By placing an order or booking a workshop with Melts & Co, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. General

Melts & Co produces hand-poured candles, wax melts, sculptural candles, and related products. All items are intended for personal use unless otherwise stated.

2. Product Use & Safety

For safe use of our products, customers must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

  • Keep candles away from children, pets, and flammable materials

  • Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface

  • Do not move candles while burning or when wax is hot

  • Follow all candle care instructions provided

Melts & Co shall not be held responsible for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.

3. Handmade Nature of Products

Due to the handmade nature of our products:

  • Variations in colour, scent strength, finish, and appearance may occur

  • These variations are natural and are not considered defects

4. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR)

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice

  • Full payment is required before orders or bookings are confirmed

5. Returns & Refunds Policy

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, Melts & Co does not offer returns or refunds on:

  • Used products

  • Custom or personalised items

  • Sale or discounted items

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide clear photos and your order number

Approved claims may result in a replacement or store credit at Melts & Co’s discretion.

6. Shipping & Collection Policy

Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 2–6 business days, unless stated otherwise

  • Custom orders may require additional lead time

Shipping

  • Delivery times depend on the courier selected

  • Melts & Co is not responsible for courier delays once parcels have been dispatched

Collection

  • If collection is offered, items must be collected within the agreed timeframe

7. Custom & Personalised Orders

  • Custom or personalised orders cannot be cancelled or changed once production has begun

  • Lead times will be communicated prior to confirmation

  • Full payment is required upfront

8. Allergies & Sensitivities Disclaimer

Our products contain fragrance oils. While we use quality ingredients:

  • We cannot guarantee allergen-free products

  • Melts & Co is not liable for allergic reactions or sensitivities

  • Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs

9. Intellectual Property

All branding, images, product names, designs, content, and workshop materials are the intellectual property of Melts & Co and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Melts & Co shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from:

  • Improper use of products

  • Failure to follow care or safety instructions

11. Workshop Terms & Conditions

Bookings

  • Workshop bookings are confirmed once payment is received

  • Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

Cancellations

  • No refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop

  • Rescheduling may be offered at Melts & Co’s discretion

Safety

Participants attend workshops at their own risk and must follow all safety instructions. Melts & Co is not liable for injuries caused by failure to comply with instructions.

12. Privacy Policy

Melts & Co respects your privacy.

  • Customer information is used only to process orders and communicate about purchases

  • Personal information is not sold or shared with third parties, except where required for delivery or legal purposes

13. Policy Updates

Melts & Co reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
